The removal of cash from our society is going to be a big change and, like so many things, once it gets a mass roll-out with the manufacturers behind it, full adoption will happen rapidly. Just look at Oyster on the underground. Who knew we needed that, but now we all see how much more efficient and easy it is than cash tickets (not to mention cheaper). It's like the old saying 'people don't know what they want until you give it to them'.
