If you have any design ideas that make sense I'd be more than happy to try again.
3) Most of the XOXO information available is geeky because it is a geeky subject. When I first looked up OPML I couldn't even figure out what it was, because of geekiness. Same went with XOXO. Once I saw both of them at work in a feedreader, however, I was hooked.

For something on this, see http://blogxoxo.blogspot.com/2006/05/what-is-reading-list.html

(apologies if you still can't stand my design!)

Re: http://www.techwinter.com/2006/07/13/xoxo-vs-opml-criticism/

Hi Jane,

Good to have you aboard.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them in the comments as I am always involved in any of the conversations taking place on my site.

Roger

Re: http://www.techwinter.com/2006/07/13/xoxo-vs-opml-criticism/

Hi Roger

This comment isn't relevant to your post, I'm afraid. Just to say it was great to see you this afternoon, and I've now subscribed to your blog. I'm just bowled over by how much you're doing on here. Most of it is way over my head but I will read up more, through your links and so on, until I start to get the hang of all this new language.
See you again soon, hopefully,
Jane

Re: http://www.techwinter.com/2006/07/13/xoxo-vs-opml-criticism/

Hi Caz,

I am glad to see you agree as you are more knowledgeable about design issues.

Hope you are having a great week.

Re: http://www.techwinter.com/2006/07/13/xoxo-vs-opml-criticism/

Dear God, what were they thinking of in the XOXO Blog?!

You're right, it is horrific, and I have to say that if I really wanted to know more about XOXO, this would instantly put me off and I'd go elsewhere. In fact, I stood it for about 10 seconds before feeling ill.

It's amazing what bad design can do to really put people off (potentially) good content. Sadly, it does nothing for their credibility!
